Hear two talented authors read from their newest books, both published by Willow Springs Books in 2017. Winner of the 2015 Spokane Prize for Short Fiction, Glori Simmons, will read from her debut fiction collection. Simmons’s stories and characters spring from the dark corners of our psyches, revealing the fears and contradictions that give shape to unconditional love. Poet Michael McGriff will read from his chapbook Black Postcards, the latest addition to Willow Spring’s Surrealist Chapbook Series. McGriff's poems achieve a ghostly, dreamlike sense of loss, while reveling in the full beauty and awe of the human experience.

Venue: Conference Theater, Spokane Convention Center, main floor
