Alumni from the EWU MFA Program will be reading their recent works at Barrister Winery for the We All Lived Here: An EWU MFA Alumni Reading and Reception on April 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The reading will be followed by a reception where mingling and buying books is encouraged. The readers will include Kimberly Lambright, author of the full-length collection of poetry Ultra-Cabin; winner of the 42 Miles Press Poetry Award, Almeda Glenn Miller, who has published her novel Tiger Dreams and her poetry collection Begin with the Corners; William O’Daly, translator of Pablo Neruda and poet with two chapbooks entitled The Whale in the Web and The Road to Isla Negra; Kristine Lloyd who has been published in Slate, the New York Times column “Modern Love”, and elsewhere; Leyna Krow, the author of I’m Fine but You Appear to be Sinking; and Maya Jewell Zeller, author of Rust Fish, and Yesterday, the Bees. The reading will be hosted by Yvonne Higgins Leach, author of Another Autumn, and Wendy Fox, author of The Pull of It and the Press 53 contest-winning collection The Seven Stages of Anger and Other Stories. Both the reading and the reception are free and open to the public.
